Magical Day
"Dear Silverado,
My husband Dave and I were married in the picnic grove on September 30, 2006. It was a beautiful autumn day, the magical kind the Bay Area offers that time of year. There was no breeze, until we were reading our vows. We had created our own and were immersed in them so were not aware of a breeze. Leaves were blown gently across the platform, and one even landed in our officiant's hair.
Numerous guests made comments about this episode for weeks after our celebration because it came out of nowhere and was gone within moments. We witnessed it ourselves watching the video and were stirred with emotion as we like to believe it was our grandparents and other loved ones who weren't able to be with us on our special wedding day.
One of our guests kept a leaf and sent it to us with a beautiful note months later. Another guest took a photo of the incredible oak trees protecting the site overhead and framed it for us. The oak trees in the picnic grove will forever mean alot to us!"

Meaningful Birthday Celebration
"Hello,
We have Easter brunch with you every year and it is always exceptional. This year however Easter fell on my partner's birthday so it was doubly exciting. Your staff was great, our firends had sent a bottle of champagne to the table as they could not attend and it was good and cold, the flowers that I sent were there as well and they sang happy birthday too! What a great staff and a wonderful time. We live here in the valley and know that it can get tiresome dealing with guests everyday. The staff never seemed like anything was out of the question."
Thank you.

Love the Silverado Experience
"I am sure you will receive hundreds of responses to this experience contest entrance, I have found this intriguing and also compelling to give you my story. . .
I have been dating Dave Dukes just over 7 years. Dave is a teacher and has been for over 30+ years in the Napa Valley, he teaches adaptive physical education to a special group of children in many schools from elementary schools to high school. He is a saint and I can honestly say you never ever hear him complain about his day and the challenges of assisting these children in life. Teachers in the Napa Valley most often have a second job.
When I first met Dave he was also working part time as a bar tender at Silverado Resort and that was just after I moved here in 2001. Dave always loves what he does and where he works. To this day still we will come to Silverado for a nice drink to feel like we are getting out and enjoying a resort. He still knows many of the individuals who have worked at Silverado for many years and he still enjoys catching up. It is a special place for Dave. . .
Additionally, in the last several years we have been lucky enough to attend several events for many different occasions at your resort, they include Napa Valley Leadership functions, Fund Raisers, Artesa Parties and even a 60th Birthday Party of a really good friend at which Pride & Joy was the entertainment, it was fabulous, needless to say with a great time had by all!
Living locally we don't often think the expense of staying is economical but when we are able and when Silverado has a special offer, we have take advantage of staying at the resort for some event...just like to feel like we have gotten away!
Thank you for listening to my story and even taking it into consideration. . . we love the Silverado Experience!
