There is perhaps no better way to experience Napa Valley’s scenic beauty than from the seat of a bicycle. Whether you are an avid cyclist or just looking for a fun,
leisurely ride, there are several routes convenient to
Silverado’s front door. Our Tennis Center offers 20-speed hybrid bicycles (across between a racing and mountain bike) for rental by the hour or full day. We’ll help get you started with a helmet, lock, storage pouch, bike mapand suggested routes.
Plan to picnic? Room Service can pack you a snack, or
there are a couple of terrific delicatessens nearby.
“The Silverado Loop”
4 miles – Level: easy
This is a favorite morning exercise path – with mostly level terrain and lovely estate home views. Depart from Silverado’s entrance, turn right. Right onto Westgate Drive. Pedal past The Fairways, Creekside and Silverado Oaks cottages. Turn right onto Hillcrest; another right onto Atlas Peak Road and return to the Resort.
“Sip, Picnic and Pedal”
5 miles – Level: moderate
Winery touring, picnicking and exercise are all easily combined on this scenic route. Depart from the resort entrance; turn right. Left on Hardman Avenue (some hilly terrain) to Silverado Trail; turn right. Enroute to the Soda Canyon Store (featuring a quality deli and shady picnic tables), you’ll pass Luna Vineyards, Silverado Trail Wine Studio, Razi Winery, and Reynolds Family Winery.
“Scenic Silverado Trail to Yountville”
18 miles – Level: moderate
For a full day of leisurely biking and sightseeing that
highlights the charming nearby town of Yountville, follow the directions above and continue north past the Soda Canyon Store. Approximately 7 miles past the store, turn left onto Yountville Cross Road. Make another left at the end (Yount Street) and follow to V Marketplace, which is great for strolling, shopping and dining.
