Jacob Hansen
Tennis Professional - Peter Burwash International (PBI)
Jacob Hansen, a Southern California native, is a tennis
professional with Peter Burwash International (PBI), the world's premier tennis management company. Before joining Silverado, Jacob spent the past three years in Florida, serving as Head Tennis Professional at the Naples Grande Beach Resort, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. During Jacob's tenure there, Tennis Magazine rated the Naples Grande as the #8 Tennis Resort in the country, and TennisResortsOnline ranked it among the world's Top 25. The promotion, expansion and administration of such a varied program have provided Jacob a wealth of experience in both club and hotel tennis programming. These experiences include lessons, clinics, junior programs, league teams, tennis packages, USTA tournaments and a full calendar of tennis social and competitive events.
In coming to Silverado, Jacob saw the opportunity to continue to combine his loves for teaching tennis and providing excellent customer service. Jacob has also worked at other PBI sites including The Lake Club at Reynolds Plantation in Georgia, and The Lake George Club in Diamond Point, NY. Prior to joining PBI, he graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Economics. While attending school, he also enjoyed working in sales and customer service positions, and was a $25,000 winner of the Humboldt County Student Business Challenge, a business plan competition for college students. However, upon graduation, he chose to pursue a career in his first passion -- tennis. Jacob became a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certified instructor, and gained experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, as well as coaching the local high school team.
Katie Dellich
Tennis Professional - Peter Burwash International (PBI)
Katie Dellich is a tennis professional with Peter Burwash International (PBI), the world's premier tennis management company. A PTR certified instructor, she is originally from Pennsylvania, where she began both her tennis playing and coaching careers.
Katie is currently the head tennis professional at Silverado Resort. Before coming to Silverado, she was the director of tennis at Lansdowne Resort, a AAA Four Diamond conference resort in northern Virginia, just 30 miles from Washington DC. This summer she initiated an active PBI tennis program for guests and a club membership.
Her PBI career has included five seasons as a professional at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in California, which is consistently ranked by Tennis magazine as one of the top ten tennis resorts in the country.
The seasonal nature of this assignment has given Katie the opportunity to take on positions such as twice directing the summer tennis program at The Homestead, Virginia’s historic five-diamond resort, where she was responsible for instruction and programs for hotel guests and members, as well as directing convention group tournaments. Other PBI assignments have included the One&Only Kanuhura in the Maldives, Kapalua in Hawaii and the Four Seasons Resort Nevis in the Caribbean.
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in English at Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania, where she played NCAA tennis, and also spent a semester at the University of Limerick in Ireland. During the summers while at university she worked as a tennis professional at Van der Meer Tennis Academy in Sweet Briar, Virginia and in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She so enjoyed the experience that she chose to pursue a career in tennis upon graduation.
Scott Teller
Tennis Professional - Peter Burwash International (PBI)
Scott Teller is a tennis professional with Peter Burwash International (PBI), the world’s premier tennis management company. PBI is proud to announce that he will be joining Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Ca for the summer season. For the past two years he has served as Tennis Director in Florida at the exclusive Windstar Club on Naples Bay, where he has been responsible for a full program of lessons, clinics, competitive and social events and league play for members on the facility’s six Har-Tru courts.
Previous assignments with PBI have included directing the tennis program for guests and a club membership on the 13 courts of Wyndham’s Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa in Puerto Rico, and serving as head professional at the Waldorf Astoria Naples, recently rated by Tennis Magazine at the #8 tennis resort in the country.
Originally from Granville, New York, Scott began playing tennis at the age of ten, and teaching at the age of sixteen for a children’s summer program in Vermont. He continued competing through four years of varsity tennis at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, where he graduated with a degree in Sports Management. He particularly enjoyed a four-month internship planning events and securing sponsorships with Special Olympics Massachusetts, whose goal is to bring the joy of athletic competition to those with disabilities of all ages throughout the state.
During the college summer breaks, Scott returned to New York to teach tennis at the historic 5-star resort, The Sagamore, directing the program during his last three summers. Upon graduation, he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in PBI, where he saw the opportunity to combine his interest in sports management with his love of tennis. Scott’s first PBI assignment included training and internship at the Lake Club at Reynolds Plantation in Georgia, where the facility serves both an active club membership and guests of the Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation.
