Jacob Hansen
Tennis Professional - Peter Burwash International (PBI)
Jacob Hansen, a Southern California native, is a tennis
professional with Peter Burwash International (PBI), the world's premier tennis management company. Before joining Silverado, Jacob spent the past three years in Florida, serving as Head Tennis Professional at the Naples Grande Beach Resort, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. During Jacob's tenure there, Tennis Magazine rated the Naples Grande as the #8 Tennis Resort in the country, and TennisResortsOnline ranked it among the world's Top 25. The promotion, expansion and administration of such a varied program have provided Jacob a wealth of experience in both club and hotel tennis programming. These experiences include lessons, clinics, junior programs, league teams, tennis packages, USTA tournaments and a full calendar of tennis social and competitive events.
In coming to Silverado, Jacob saw the opportunity to continue to combine his loves for teaching tennis and providing excellent customer service. Jacob has also worked at other PBI sites including The Lake Club at Reynolds Plantation in Georgia, and The Lake George Club in Diamond Point, NY. Prior to joining PBI, he graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Economics. While attending school, he also enjoyed working in sales and customer service positions, and was a $25,000 winner of the Humboldt County Student Business Challenge, a business plan competition for college students. However, upon graduation, he chose to pursue a career in his first passion -- tennis. Jacob became a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certified instructor, and gained experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, as well as coaching the local high school team.
