Jack London State Historic Park Grand-Reopening

Jack London State Historic Park Grand-Reopening

November 05, 2018

The remnants of London's cherished dream house, or 'Wolf House' as its come to be known, sit in a grassy glen north of Napa as part of the Jack London State Historic Park. Before it burned in 1913, it was his workshop and travel-souvenir cache, with 26 rooms and nine fireplaces.

Today, a wooden walkway guides you around the ruins and into the newly renovated cottage. Experience its grand-reopening this month to see, among other things, a splendid recreation of London's writing studio. Unknown to many, London was a farmer and took great pleasure experimenting in his garden on the property. Explore the grounds for yourself and then follow your nose to the kitchen for a guided gourmet tour.
