    Junior Private Lesson
    50-minute Junior Private Lesson
    Director of Instruction and Head Golf Professional
    Rate: $75

    One-hour Group Lesson
    All instructors
    Pricing is based on the Private Lesson rate, plus $25 per additional student.
    For example, a four-person group with the Director of Instruction would cost $200, or $50 per person. ($125 + (3 x $25) = $200)...$200 / 4 = $50 per person).

    Standard Rate: $250
    Member Rate: $180

    Online Golf Lesson
    Film your golf swing on your phone or tablet and email it to one of our pro instructors. You will receive a video back with guidelines on how to help fix your swing. For more information, call Tara, our Director of Instruction, at (707) 257-5463.

    Cost: $25 per video OR 10 assessments for $200.

  • Dolce Silverado Golf Tara Fox

    Tara Fox, TPI

    Director of Instruction

    Tara Fox is an LPGA Class-A Teaching Professional and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 3 Certified Junior Coach. Hailing from Napa Valley, she graduated as a Pac-10 letterwoman from the University of California at Berkeley, and has taught the game golf since 1996. Tara founded both the Napa Valley Junior Golf Academy and Silverado Junior Golf Academy, and was the first female Teaching Professional at Silverado Resort and Spa. With a knack for teaching and a fascination with the mental aspect of golf, Tara is determined to make golf a fun and manageable sport for all of her students.

    Tom Sims, PGA

    Head Golf Professional

    Tom joined Silverado Resort and Spa on March 9, 2015, as Head Golf Professional. There is nothing he hasn’t done in the golf industry: A Class-A PGA Golf Professional for over 25 years, Tom has worked as a General Manager, Director of Golf, Head Professional, and Director of Instruction over the course of his career. He also served as West Coast Director of Instruction for Bird Golf Academies between 1999 and 2015, and is comfortable tutoring golfers of all skill levels.

    Matt Dito, PGA

    Teaching Professional

    Originally from Petaluma, California, Matt has been a Class-A Member of the PGA of America since 2005. He’s taught golf since 1998, and has studied the teachings of well-known golf instructors Eddie Merrins, Dave Pelz, and Stan Utley. Utilizing that knowledge, Matt has created his own distinct brand of instruction, one that emphasizes fundamentals and engages the student to determine their specific needs and how best to fulfill them. Matt enjoys working with students of all ages and ability levels, and loves helping junior golfers develop their swings and a passion for the game. When he isn’t teaching, Matt competes professionally with the Northern California Professional Golfers’ Association (NCPGA).
