  • Quinn Saine Tennis Instructor

Head Tennis Professional - Peter Burwash International (PBI)

Quinn is our head tennis professional at Silverado Resort, is USPTA Elite, and a PBI Guest professional for World Tennis Camps. Quinn Saine’s love for tennis originated in his hometown of Peru, Indiana, where his father and grandfather ran — members of the Indiana High School Coaches Hall of Fame — successful high school and junior summer tennis programs.

After earning a Division I scholarship to compete at Western Kentucky, Quinn went to work with PBI, combining his love of tennis with his desire to travel. The decision paid off: He’s helped spread the game in destinations as diverse as the Hawaiian Islands and the Austrian mountains.

Quinn has had the opportunity to have fun on the court with peewees, hit sessions with America’s top junior competitors at the Easter Bowl, and teach groups, camps, wheelchair athletes, and more.

  • John Weston Tennis Instructor

John Weston is pleased to return to Northern California, having been raised just an hour south of Napa in Marin County.

John grew up in and around the tennis industry as the son of a teaching pro and regional USPTA president, who was the director of tennis at the Tiburon Peninsula Club in Marin, and then subsequently at the Carmel Valley Racquet Club in Carmel, Ca. During his college career at the University of Redlands, John was a three time all-conference performer, two time all-American, and won the Div. III doubles Nat'l championship. Following college John played professionally in France, before returning to begin his teaching career at the Carmel Valley Ranch. It was there that he was first exposed to PBI, and was fortunate enough to meet Peter Burwash himself as he made the area his home.

A short time later John was approached by his former boss, and head golf professional at the Pebble Beach Golf Links about a possible entry into the golf business in helping to open the Preserve Golf Club in Carmel Valley. It was here that John began a decade plus long career as a golf professional while joining the PGA of America, before ultimately moving to San Diego to work at the Grand Del Mar golf club. The experience proved immensely rewarding as he gained the invaluable experience of learning to teach across multiple athletic disciplines.
