    Know How To Watch

Pick your spot and watch the field pass by “Parade Style,” or follow a particular player or group around the course “Cross-country Style.”

    Arrive Early

You’ll want to arrive early to reserve a spot, especially if you plan on watching the tournament “Parade Style.” On Thursday and Friday, groups are simultaneously started on the first and tenth holes. Most people watch the action on the back nine, which may free up a better view of the players on the front nine. Stop by Silverado’s Market & Bakery for your morning coffee, and try some fresh baked goods from Bouchon and Model Bakery on your way out to the course. Purchase your tickets online ahead of time to avoid the ticket line.

Pick Up A Daily Pairing Sheet

Your daily pairing sheet will tell you which players tee off when, as well as the order of groups. They also include a course map, and are available near the entrances and at select locations on the tournament grounds. The pros usually play in threesomes on Thursday and Friday and pairs on the weekend. Check the scoreboards to find out who the leaders are, and where they are on course. One way to spot players from a distance is to look for their caddies: They wear color-coded vests (red, white, and black), which are indicated on the daily pairing sheet.

  • Dolce Silverado Golf Safeway PGA Tour Food and Wine Pavilion

    Food & Wine Pavilion

The Safeway Food and Wine Pavilion is located right in the middle of the golf course. Spanning 20,000 square feet, the space features three restaurants — exhibiting world-class offerings from Thomas Keller, Masaharu Morimoto, and Charlie Palmer — a sports bar, wine, spirits, and craft beer stations. What’s better — all of this is free with your tournament admission.

  • The Terrace Deck

Cap your day at The Terrace Deck. Located behind Silverado’s mansion, this is truly one of the most scenic cocktail spots in all of Napa. You can also enjoy dinner in The Grill at Silverado, where local, seasonal, fresh ingredients are used in appetizers, salads, and entrées.

    Silverado PGA Tour History

Silverado’s PGA connections can be traced back to 1967, when Harvie Ward — a two-time National Amateur golf champion — was hired to head Silverado’s public relations. Using his golfing contacts, Ward contacted the PGA, arguing that they should host a tournament at Silverado in the run-up to or following the Crosby Pro-Am.
